COURSES
What courses will you take?
You must take 18 hours of course work to complete
the minor. Fifteen of the hours are devoted to five
journalism courses; the final three hours can be taken in
a number of classes offered through departments in the colleges
of Liberal Arts and Architecture. The core journalism
courses are:
- JOUR200, Mass Media Information.
- JOUR203, Media Writing I.
- JOUR303, Media Writing II; JOUR 301 Mass Communication
Law & Society (crosslisted with COMM 307); or JOUR304, Editing for the Mass Media.
- JOUR484, Media Internship.
- JOUR490, Journalism as a Profession.
The final three hours can be taken from a list
of approved courses in

- Economics (ECON 312 and 465),
- English (ENGL 210),
